In 3ds Max, can't render - results all black, help!!

OK, so I'm working on this scene - just a building, nothing fancy (first scene I've ever done in 3D Studio Max, by the way). Now, I've pre-rendered many, many times in the process, and I always got a result. However, I got a tutorial on lighting, and after I tried a couple of things there, suddenly the pre-render started showing nothing but black. Actually, when I add like 20 light sources, I can see something, but this isn't the way it was before, and I have no idea how to fix it. It almost seems like the default light source got turned off somehow, so that even when I delete all the lights, I get blackness (but only in render - viewports are fine).

Oh, and also, I opened a different Max scene, made by someone else, and the render worked fine there.

Please, help out, guys! I'm going nutz!

P.S. Oh, and while you're at it, can I have a teeny tiny pointer on how to make reflective skyscraper-ish glass in Max?

Well, I'm no 3ds max pro, but I do know that as soon as you add additional lights to the scene, the default lighting automatically turns off. From what you are saying, it would seem that the lights you added are not setup correctly, and thus are not lighting the scene, perhaps they are faced incorrectly or something along those lines.

Not too sure about the skyscraper glass.
