Yes, I have heard that phrase before. I don't agree with it, however. What I do think is that you should always be giving your client correct information and information that will help them. You should never go, "No, I'm not doing X. That's just stupid." What you should do is explain the situation to them.
Why would you keep information from a client that may save them a substantial amount of money?
