Color Problems
When using programs such as indesign and freehand i noticed when i export to pdf the colors i used arent the same as in the application. Im assuming they will print differently so this is making me worried when i get some of my stuff printed i wont be getting what i intended.
Should i use CMYK or RGB? im confused
Can someone explain to me why this happens and what i can do to properly select colors.
Thanks
- Colin

Not sure why the colors change when you export to pdf, but for print CMYK is the standard. CMYK doesn't offer all the colors that RGB does, but it's something you have to consider when doing things for print.

Make sure all your color profiles match. If you use a different profile for each program, you'll get lots of problems.
If you don't know which one to use, either set the default one (the monitor's) or ask the printer which color profile they are using, so that you can see exactly (or almost) the colors that will be printed.
