3Dish effect/explosion type
I was just wondering if it is possible to make an explosion sort of thing on paint shop pro8, and how it would be done. If you want an examply reply here, and I will try to provide one. The explosion effect is often used on layouts, along with a few brushes or something. I'd appreciate any help you could give me (including websites with the tutorial, or any help here).
Thanks!

An example would be good, there are many explosions that could be made (i.e. light, fire, sound)...

Hm, their not exactly explosions, but they are the 3d thing I was looking for.
Can you do those on psp8?

I can't seem to find those images.
Could you copy them and use the attachment feature in TF?

i think that was probably initially done in a 3d program, and then finished and brushed up with a 2d raster editor such as paintshop or photoshop, you could maybe achiecve the same effect in such a program but i think it would be very hard.

That is mostly 3D abstract art.
It is very hard to make this kind of effect just in PSP. There are some techniques for doing them in Photoshop but they still don't look like that.
I don't know how familiar you are with 3D programs but if you don't have one (like 3DSMax or LightWave), there's a free one called Blender (http://www.blender.org/) and it can make them as well.
Once you get a program, go to the 3D forum and search for "Abstract". You'll find many references and, even though some tutorials (some located on the Sticky at the top of the forum) are for other programs, you can still adapt them to work with Blender or simply check the Blender Communities.
