need help with vectoring!!

Hi, I really need help with a vectoring project and it doesn't seem like a really difficult job but it's just that I've hardly touched Illustrator.

So I have a gif image and I need to cut out a few words and turn them into separate vector files. And I used the auto-trace function, and it cuts out the whole word for me, but I don't know how to go back and cut out the holes where the "Ps" and "O's" are, for example.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

You'll have to create a compound path. The best way to do it since you're not familiar with Illustrator is to use the Pathfinder panel (the options are self-explanatory).
