i'm a newb to 3dmx
how do you convert a scene into something that you can open with photoshop

You need to render it and output to either a .jpg, .tif, or whatever format you want. Hit F10 for the settings..and then put where the file should be rendered to.

Well I'll give you a quick tutorial on rendering and saving as an image file.

-Hit Shift-R or go to Render>Render
-Change the settings to whatever you'd like (size, etc)
-Hit the button at the bottom labelled Render
*Now a new window will come up and your scene will render*
-If this is to your liking look at the top left of the window, look for a small button with a Disk on it. Click it.
-Choose a file name and file type (I suggest .bmp if you are going to be doing work on it in PS because it doesnt screw with the quality of the image).
-Open up PS and open your image.
