help with gradients in illustrator

hi, im just learning illustrator and i'm having trouble with the gradient tool. i know plenty about photoshop and its gradient tool. i know that in PS, there is the "angled gradient" which looks like the attached image, in illustrator i only see linear and radial. is there some way i can make an angled gradient in illustrator? i see a gradient mesh tool but i have no idea how to use it. any help would be great!
