New to the 3d world

hi, im a 2d (Flash, Photoshop) designer, but im begging to see how usefull 3d art would be for me.

I have 3dsm, Maya 5.0, Lightwave 8, and 4d Cinema Studio. I've started learning maya but im just not getting anyware.

Can anyone reccomend some ways i can get better?

ive been reading and trying to find some good tutorials.

any advice??

you have a lot of progs there, personally i think 3dsm is best, for tutorials try google Tongue
i had some good tutorial sites, cant find them now, if i remember ill tell you but i found them all through google in the first place anyway.

Dude, Blow those "purchased programs" off.
Get yourself into BLENDER. It's open source and VERY VERY powerful.
It's at www.blender3d.org

I Seriously recomend it...
