I need help to remove multiple Anchor Points

I've been going nuts trying to figure out how to delete multiple anchor points at on time without actually removing the line in which those points make up.

Any ideas? I know I could use the smooth tool but that's not exactly the best way to achieve what I want.

You CorelDRAW users know what I mean, "marquee select a bunch of nodes and hit delete."

I don't think so, at least not in v10. You can delete them individually using the Delete Anchor Point Tool (same tab as the Pen tool), but other than that I can't think of a way of doing it.
