Masks
Greetings,
I am have a very rough time with masks in PSP7. I've been using the program for about 6 months now, but for the first time this morning, I decided to muck around with some masks. So far, everything i've leant is self-taught, so I figured I could do the same with masks, however that was far from the case.
I would greatly appreciate some help. The problem, in general, is getting masks, LOL. The only thing that happens why I attempt to use a mask is the image I am trying to mask fades. I don't understand what I am doing wrong, but any help would be great.
Do I have to download them? What exactly am I doing wrong, LOL. Thanks in advance.

I have a tutorial on how to use masks on my website's new version (unreleased)... you can go to it at http://www.avius.ws/ver11 and click on "Tutorials", then "Paint Shop Pro", then in the subnav window scroll to the very bottom and click on the link. Let me know if you need anything else or have trouble.

Thanks a lot man, your site really helped out. Do you have anu idea where I can find out about making custom brushes? I was recently contacted by a client that wants a webdesign, but he insists that it have a grunge feel to it, but I don't really have anything to make it look grungy.
Once again, thanks for the help.

you can use a lot of photoshop stuff in PSP7 too, so if you find some PS brushes try them in PSP.

found it... in the tool options window (View ... Toolbars ... Tool Options Palette) next to the shape drop down list there is an icon for the paintbrush... click on it and then select custom. there will be a dropdown list of custom brushes that are included with PSP7, and you can download more and install them into your c:\Program Files\Jasc Software\Paint Shop Pro 7\Brushes folder (or whatever file path you chose). Just do a search for Photoshop brushes and download a few and install them. They should work in Paint Shop Pro.
