Where do I find this in MAX

its funny because up until this post I thought this tutorial was for 3ds max. How do I extrude this on the path

extruded the profile along the path to get this basic shape. The extrude options were ?Tube? ?At Profile? and 'Component Pivot on?.

what exactly is the problem? extruding itself? oder how you get this shape of the spoiler profile?
