Question about Abode Illustrator 10...

Does it have the 3d effect? Because I just got mine and it doesn't have it. so I was wondering if that effect is only on the older versions?

The 3D tools are new to Illustrator CS. There are plugins that will do 3D extrusions and such for older versions of Illustrator. There are also freeware programs that will do 3D vector extrusions and similar simple operations. It is also possible to recreate most simple 3D things with just vector drawing by hand if you are familiar with the program.

But no, to answer the question specifically, Illustrator 10 doesn't have the "3D effects".

Thank you for clearing that up for me. I just assumed that b/c I was reading a tutorial for illustrator and it had said to go to effects > 3d and when i didn't see it on mine I just assumed, but thanks so much.
