Yea, when I was looking up that really long chemical word, it said there were 2 previously in the guiness book of world records that were like twice as long, but since no chemist had ever actually used the words, they were removed. This is cause some shmo could literally name a DNA chain that could be like a billion words long, so we have to only count words that have actually been used.

All 'phobias' I have ever seen have been fully rooted in latin, and that has no roots in latin even relating it to 'long' or 'words' at all.

Actually I looked it up and it IS Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia...so yes it IS ironic

Keep in mind decker not all scientific names have a true latin root, and also latin has a nice ability to add in adjective-like parts into a word, like methylchlorohydroxide is a methane, chlorine, and hydrogen-oxide molecule...theorietically you could go on with a made up molecule, as well as phobia (as long as it describes the phobia in some way).
