First real vector attempt

I've been working on this for a couple hours, trying to acquaint myself with the pen tool and using other tools as well (Photoshop 7). Any comments and/or tips that could help me on my way? Note: I didn't know what to do with the hair at this point but it was bugging me just being one color, so I did the first thing that popped in my mind

Great job for a first try. My only suggestion, which probably isn't very helpful, would be to try and make it a lot smoother. That's the main problem I see with your current piece.

Also, she doesn't have a nose! =O

Tables for layout is an abuse. -- Internet Explorer is unsafe.

yeh not bad for a first..
you need to start some shading on it now..

Tip: the less anchor points you use.. the better the curvature..

I probably should've mentioned that this is a WIP But yeah, I realize it needs to be smoother, but I haven't mastered the pen tool yet, so there's a lot of places that I had to do my best at using the good ole brush. And the nose will be coming soon!

o ,you guys do this by hand with the pen!? jeez I just use a 3rd party plugin but I guess theres no fun in that, pretty good for your first 1 by the way straight outta a pic you posted in that tf members pic thread if I can remember right.
