How do I draw over an image I have opened with the Paintbrush Tool? 
EDIT: other than bmps

Alright another noobish question...often when I try to either add part to a line, or add a line B next to line A, line A will vanish... :mad:

It has to do with the tools settings, it the pencil and paintbrush will try to complete a path when a stroke is nearby. You can adjust this setting in the tool itself by hitting return with the tool selected and a settings palete wil pop up. Here you can turn off the "Edit selected paths" or just reduce the pixel proximity.
I hope this helps...and that wasnt actually a very noobish question at all.
