I made this image really quick, and I know that the text could be better, but what do you think of the general effect?

that "logo" is tutorial-tastic. the fonts are bad too.

I think your question brings up the main problem. If you did this piece veeeery quick, why you think that others take lots of time to check your picture?

It is very basic but I don't even know what effect you mean??

the fonts are terrible.
it looks like you were tring to make the pecies fit together. it worked insome places but not in others and the lighting seems off.
