Nortons security

Hello, i brought norton security 2004 and had it running on my computer for a few weeks. Then a few days ago it turned off also the antivirus autoprotect is off and i can't turn either back on.

My computer is networked to another one which has ADSL modem and norton security 2004 which is working fine, i did turn some startup programs on this computer off im pretty sure its was not norton software even if it was this computer would'nt effect the other computer would it?.

I came to the conclusion that somehow hackers have turned it off and took my previledges away.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Do a search for online scanners or panda or stinger. Could be some sort of virus not letting you access your virus scanner. I posted links to those 2 scanners, panda an online scanner and stinger which you d/l and searches for various trojans and backdoors.........goodluck
