The making of icons

When I started this icon that I knew was gonna take a damn long time to finish, thought I'd take screenshots of some of the steps in between and turn it into sort of a tutorial.

(note, instead of using pictures you can offcourse also use drawings you made, I just suck at drawing so I used a pic)

Didn't personally check them out yet but it looks good.

Will probably write more detailed steps if some people are interested in creating icons, and with some more pictures, this might be kinda vague.

What program do you use to save them as .ico files?

Don't really know what programs they use for it.
This isn't an .ico file, it's just a tiny picture(icon) to use on a website.

Do a search- as there was a topic the other day that spoke of a 3rd party script used to export ico's straight out of PS

ehm there is a file that you can put in to your ps files, and then you can save like normal you can save like .gif or .png, but now allso as .ico

Ya..that doesn't support transparency though so it's next to worthless.

Hey Fofo, have you made heaps of these? if you have do you tihnk you could put them in a .zip cause i would like to make them my desktop icons ^_^ They are very good...
