Freehand, selection help (PSP5)
I hope someone can help me. I'm new enough to making graphics and I have PSP5 and Photoshop 3.
Is there a more precise way of cutting out images than the freehand or selection in PSP?
I can't get my head around Photoshop, but if there is a way in Photoshop, would you please add that too.
Thanx

Hi, welcome to TF
I'm afraid that in PSP5 the Freehand tool is the best alternative, unless you use the Eraser which is absolutely time consuming.
I believe that in version 6 and above you can already count with vector-like tools (I'm sure that the tools work great in v7, which is the version I have), which allow you to edit the shapes before converting them to selections.
In version 8 there is a feature called Erase Background, which is supposed to do this sort of thing. The problem is that PSP8 uses too much of the system's resources, so I don't exactly recommend it yet.
I'm clueless about PS3. But again, the latest versions do have proper tools for this, like the Extract filter found on v7.
