3d shapes!!!!

Hi guys, this my first post!!!!

Right, not I've got that off my chest, I have been looking at a site

Now it's a real inspiration to what I hope my site will look like design wise BUT I'm useless at the mo!

What I wanted to know was if anyone knew if there was a tutorial of how to do the 3d sort of menu shape on the right???

I don't know of any tutorials for that (although I haven't searched for tuts in a while).

However, on that same site there is a very nice tutorial on how to do a chrome shape/orb/whatever, that you might be able to do in PSP as well, modifying a few steps of course - but only try it if you already are familiar with the program, otherwise you might get frustrated with it.

The tutorials there are for adobe photoshop not paintshop pro

As I said, you might be able to do in PSP as well. The tools aren't completely different from Photoshop, all you need to do is make a few adjustments here and there.

Gems, orbs and glass globes tutorials might be able to help you as well - you'll just need to adjust them to another shape to make the inner part and do another larger shape behind it with a bevel to look as a frame.
Good resources for PSP tutorials are www.pspiz.net and www.pluspsp.com (or .net, I don't remember at the moment).

Btw, which version of PSP are you using?

I've been using a mixture of 6 and 7. Mainly cos I picked up 6 cheap at a computer show ages ago and have been used to it but I managed to get work to buy 7 not that long ago.

I've did as you said sort of, I followed a tut on chrome effect and then kinda playd about a bit!!!
