Selecting Letters?

A while back I used a command so I could select each letter in a font (it made each letter seperate so I they all had a glowing line around them). Unfortunately, I can't find where I did it. Does anybody know how to do this? I'm pretty sure it was in Illustrator but it could have been in Photoshop.

Nevermind...I just figured it out after I asked the question. It's under Create Outlines
