Free 3D Design program??

Are there any free 3D imaging and design programs? I don't have a bazooka load of money to spend on lightwave or brice. Any recommendations, if applicable?

This is the second time i've downloaded blender. My mouse like goes nuts and everythings weird with the program. Why is this? When I close it, everything else is fine. I open it starts again......hmmmmmm

must be your videocard... the program is written in opengl i beleive

You need a 3D design program? GMax is free. It's only 19 MB, to download. Maybe you could check this out... It's the little brother of 3D Studio Max...
