anarchy > bands > nomadic tribes (various systems of governace) >small settlements (various systems of governace)> monarchy >...dictatorships didnt occur in all countries...neither did communinsm or democracy, monarchies aren't dead yet

an average human today has just as much mental capacity as an average human 40 000 years ago, and we are all driven by the same instincts of survival of the fittest.

This so called mental evolution that you speak of conflicts with all records of human behaviour.

I don't think you people are taking into consideration the several hundred minority groups who run communal lives but are not communists by government. These minorities tend to be small villages in Africa. The reason why is because the larger a people get, the more dependent they are on a person of higher power. [whoops out civ & culture class skills] A good example is the ancient hebrews. Before they were bound together into a nation, they were several small communities who lived in social equality. But as these communities banded together and formed a nation/empire, they required a social heirarchy because social equality is impractical when applied to a large people.

Communism is impractical for any nation because people are greedy. But I guess my whole post is irrelevant if you take into account that Communism, as a government, has people who are socially greater than other people. Communism isn't 'true' communal socialism because not everybody is equal.

Atleast that's what I think Communism is, it's not like I spend all my time studying different governents

Socialism was derived from Communism, not the other way.

communism fails every time its tried.

competition, rugged individualism, entreprenuerialism, self reliance. freedom, free trade. these are things that communism doesnt support, these things are hardwired into ourselves.

face it, not everoyone is equal in everything. some of us are better at other things than others. the trick is to find what you are good at and make $$ doing it.

communism penalizes people for being successful. think not? tell that to my friend's father who had his property and car taken away by castro so "the people" can have it. wealth he built with his own blood and sweat,, gone.

if i start a business its mine, not "the peoples" if i buy property its mine, not "the peoples" same goes for you.

I think
that in theory communism makes sences
in practice there something to be said about human behaviour for it to work.
A good book to read, even though it's fiction is Ursula Leguin "The Dispossed" goor reading not as weird as leathe of heaven
