photoshop books

i was wondering if there are any photoshop books worth enough to get

a lot of ppl will tell ya that photoshop books are just useless.
i agree. if you ever thumb thru ANY of them, its very boring and dry stuff that they teach you. the only way to get some place in photoshop is to follow tutorials online - LOTS of them. little by little you learn where different things are and then finally enough to create some pretty nice things.

Well I'm not sure considering I've never visited every tutorial based website on the web, but it explores alot of different techniques.... I'm sure there are similar things online.

Photoshop 7 WOW Book. It's worth the money. I bought the one for Photoshop 6 a while back, and I have learned a lot from it.

I agree..most of them are very boring & they don't really walk you through how to make or do things. i really like the book Photoshop 7: Down & Dirty Tricks. it shows you how to make some really cool effects from scratch. =)

I dont like books. for me, online tutorials work much better. Authors will charge you $30+ for a book that will teach you the same thing you can learn for free online.
