Being drunk is fun, but it's not something I do every weekend. (Plus I don't have the best tolerance). I am not underage, but I did drink when I was.
What really gets me is young kids who drink even though they absolutely hate the taste, just to get drunk and try to fit in.
btw, 18 is legal age for drinking here in Australia. Plus I never drink and drive. I am a responsible drinker.

if u can appreciate alcohol, age doesn't matter. If you drink for coolness, that's immature.

I think, within reason, people under 21 (in the US. Don't know the legal drinking ages in other countries) should be able to drink. But I also believe that it should be supervise. I, personally, don't drink. I've tried some stuff but don't really like anything scept some of this wine I've tried...

I personally don't drink for two reasons
1. The drinking age in the UK is 18, even if I wanted to I probably wouldn't get served.
2. I don't see the point of killing my liver at this point in time.
I think if people want to drink, they should be allowed to, but the age limit is there for a reason. I know people who go out every weekend and get smashed. In fact, last week one of my friends had a party. The police where called 3 times. During the third time my friend was told that the police where coming upstairs (they weren't, they had already left) so, in a drunken state, he climed out of a window onto a roof, whilst looking down for something to land on, his slipped and fell and broke his elbow.
If people under the legal drinking age drink RESPONSIBLY, then it's fine, but just going out and getting smashed for the hell of it... I don't see a point myself...

In belgium the legal age is 16 (I think). I completely agree with Exidge on this one.
I don't drink to get drunk, but because I prefer the taste of beer over the taste of coke/soda/etc...
But lately I'm gettin' a bit concerned due to all those breezer-type-things. They look like lemonade and they taste like it, but they contain more alcohol than a normaal beer. I've seen lots of kids (12, 13, 14) buyin' em and gettin' drunk.
You don't buy that for flavour, but just cuz it contains alcohol.
My dad was the one that "teached" me to drink, teaching me to handle it properly. Those kids that buy breezers don't get that "education" and can become problem drinkers very easily.
So "underage drinking" isn't really a problem in my eyes, but the lack of "education" in drinking is.

i live in the US and the drinked age here is 21. i think thats bull**** becasue you can join the army at 18 and then go to war and die without ever even being served a drink. i think thats bulll****. so im agaisnt a drinking age. anyone over 16 should be able to drink.
