Hey,
This is the back-up guitarist for Rise Above. We're a local new hampshire punk rock band. We don't play stupid punk either. We play street/hardcore punk. Our influences are the following:
The Casualties
The Unseen
NOFX
The Virus
The Exploited
The Misifits
If you would like to hear us or even come to one of your shows or support us, then please feel free to contact me.
I think I might have seen you guys before. Do you play with The Struggle, The Knox, Jonee Earthquake, The Epidemic, Red Invaision or any other local bands in the area?

I agree with whoever mentioned the dislike of bands due to their popularity... I can undestand that if you like a band and after they get a greater following including some people that you care not to be around, then fine. Don't go to the shows. Doesn't mean they aren't making great music. I am with smac311 on this one. AFI's greatest work is Sing the Sorrow. I also think the newest Ataris CD is their greatest work. Sure these records are selling like hot cakes at every circuit city and mainstream record store, but the guys deserve it. They write amazing music, and if you can't like something because other people that aren't the same as you like it, then you need to figure out who you are and what your taste are. If your taste is based on what is the most unheard of, then I pity you. because your taste sucks. MXPX's newest album is not good though... it's way over produced. I will give ya that... I think rancids album has some bad production as well. But of course the band said ok.... selling out is when the band starts writing music based on what can sell as opposed to what they want. I prime example of a band getting big without selling out at all is Thursday. They are on Island which is a huge label and they are standing their ground and doing things the way they want. Their new album is also amazing is their best work yet.
