PSD Files?

I was looking through some of the posts about selling web templates in the Jobs & Freelancing / Service Exchange forum and .PSD files were mentioned quite a lot, can anyone expain to me what a .PSD file is

Although this is way off topic ill explain best i can..

.PSD file is an orginal file made from Photoshop not sure about any other programs that use the extenstion. Paint Shop Pro i think does but not certain.

Anyway the .PSD file normally contains layers which if re-opened are still there and can be modified easily.

They can also hold CopyRight Information in them..

Ok, a .PSD file is Photoshops defult file (Photoshop invented .PSD (i think) and it can save all the layers and effects and can be opened again to chnage stuff)

Yeah - A PSD (PhotoShop Drawing I think) is the original file where all of the layers and other stuff for a graphic made in PhotoShop is. It's just like a FLA file for Flash.

Yeah but their usually flattened layers defeating the purpose.
