You could do it in photoshop, but its a lot easier to do something like that in 3d studio max or cinema 4d, then just put finishing touches on it with photoshop. nice work by the way =)

My technique is to just make a spiky explosion like shape with it, fill it with white and duplicate that layer. Then I usually play around with some more layers and blendmodes till it looks good, in this case i've duplicated the layers a couple of times and rotated/resized them ___________________ mWòÓh NurikaStatus: Offline!
