The reason I asked that question was because I plan on starting a small webhosting company soon. I was just trying to get a few opinions on what I should give the customers at a certain price. Any more thoughts?

By the way, we intend on having two plans; a $3.99 plan aswell as a $6.99 plan.

You may be interested in doing more than 2 plans if your becoming a host, the more plans you can offer the bigger your audience will be therefore generating more customers

Hi, I did some math with my host and my hosting plan.

Without a domain name I pay $2.04 a month for:

200mb space
1gb bandwith
perl
php
500 pop3 boxes
unlimited mysql databases edited: 200 mysql databases, basically infinite. If you need more than that, you don't know how to program, or you are running ezboard :P
cpanel
no ads
autoresponders
unlimited ftp access (24/7)
frontpage
flash & shockwave
protected directories
custom error pages

Now, if I add on the domain, I pay $3.14 a month. I have received damn good service and all. no downtime so far (about 3-4 weeks i think).

So, since this are what my standards are, I'd except a lot :P

Sorry for kinda getting off-topic, but I was just comparing my host. BTW, my host is located at www.dhrx.co.uk.

Again, sorry, but I gave him something to compare to.

some people offer services that are pretty fair at a low cost.

take UZIPP for an example. they offer 300 mb webspace and 3gb bandwidth for only $15 a year. if im not mistaken thats $1.25 per month.
