What's with The Matrix

I get that a lot of people like it for some reason, but I think I missed it. I thought it was a pretty good movie. I haven't seen the new one, and I'm not going to go out of my way to do it either.

Why are people wetting themselves over this series of movies...LOTR's too.

I just don't understand how it can be THAT exciting.

people get exited over different things that other people don't understand. so instead of trying to understand it, why not just let people be and find something you can get exited about yourself.

The story appeals to some, and the fighting action is comparable to XiaoXiao, or Fight3 from newgrounds and whatnot.

When Neo is fighting with the stick, it kicks it and brings it back, which is a move you'd see in there, and there are a few others.

The action is intense, and it takes a perspective of a 'world' that makes people question all based on scientific fact.. does this exist.. or does it? Many people question their existence atleast once in their life, and this movie appeals to those who are in the middle of questioning, or who are still puzzled. It's a very exciting movie, and that's why a lot of people tend to like it. The OMFG is a little more extreme, but it's the internet you know? They could just mean it was cool, but they want to emphasize the feeling they have, so don't take it all too literally.
