Registry Edit Hey I've seen how some people like to use the regedit to change some of the things in their computers, so far I have followed some instrucitons on changing some of the things on my computer, I would like to know if anyone is able to get rid of the Start Menu icon/symbol and rename it to something else, I have not been able to do this the only time I ever got it to change was using a program but It would only stay like that if the program was running. It would also be nice to get rid of the edition name that is dysplayed when you actually click the start button ( the program managed to this also). Ps:If you have any program that really defrags Ram Plz post it, I have not found one that does this, Ive used something called ram defrag and memewatcher. Any other tips for running your computer smoothly are welcomed. Thanks. ___________________ Sig Pending. Well, I do not know where you can go to change start icon and edition thing, but I do know a good RAM Defrag program, its called MEM Turbo try downloading it or type it in a search engine! theres a prog called resource hacker or something of that sort.. you can change almost anything in windows including that little image in the start menu. ___________________ irc.efnet.net #neverside
