As of late Monday there have been were 28 fatalities -- 11 U.S. and 17 British. "The Red Cross reports hearing of 200 civilian casualties in Baghdad. U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan said "urgent measures" were needed to restore Basra's electricity and water supply. A U.S. missile struck a Syrian passenger bus near the Iraqi border, killing five and injuring 10, Syria's official news agency reported. Pentagon officials expressed regret for the incident" been more than 1 casualty that i have read... and there was also the american (i think) chopper that went down and had no survivors... darthy, your right about SBS, ive been watching the war news on it and they tell the stories from all angles, not just one or two.... ___________________ *+--_...I was the kid F*ck it ___________________ My Sig was suspended... For one, I don't listen to just news or my peers, my father is a corporate lawyer, and my mum is a criminal judge, and they have connections with political leaders, and I do have some idea of what I am talking about, I can form an opinion as I like. As for anyone else, if they want to form an opinion based on what they know, you can shut up. You have no right to tell others they are talking out their rear. If you continue to get personal or in these means, rude, you will recieve a warning for limited flaming, now that's enough. ___________________ lain13egoStatus: Offline!
If this war is about oil do you think that the lovely US would show the public that. do you think they would come out and say "holy mother! we got ourselves and oil field!" No...they wouldn't? okay we got that squared away. So whatever reason this is happening i doubt the real reason is being shared. they dont' tell us the truth about whats going on why would they tell us anything else? They wouldn't do that either? good thing we all understand that now, too. Saddam was supposed to disarm in what a month? give me a break. Bush says that no matter what they find they are going in; i'd keep my weapons too. Besides he was supposed to disarm ages ago back when daddy shrub was in office. oh yeah i'm an american and i am ASHAMED of it at this point in time and rightfully so. but can i do anything about where i was born? no, so get off people's case for being anti american, or what i like to think of as stuck up *******s who have nothing better to do than play dictator to other countries because we are the best in the whole world and we want you to know it, aka arrogant beyond belief. And since no evidence has been presented to me about how saddam is connected with sept eleventh i don't buy that excuse for a min. besides who gave these people the money in the first place? the magic money faerie? wish i could talk to her. oh wait she doesn't exsist so now we have that issued squared away too. and i don't think osama and saddam look that much alike but most of the american public can't tell them apart. i wish the government would tell the truth; they were going to attack this country no matter what and keep the reasons from us. they don't care how we feel about it and don't want to hear about it. the will risk the lives of the young men of this country unlike what bush was willing to do while AWOL...go bush. i'm sure he'd be willing to fight for this...oh he wouldn't..wow i've cleared up a lot here. the shrub doesn't give a **** how any of us feel, but once he wins his ratings will go up so he can advance from governor to president for real this time. ___________________

Sonar; First of all, CNN is BS and anyone who takes their information from there has rocks in their head. There are news groups out there that aren't tainted by personal agenda's. You just have to look beyond the TV. Secondly, if you have information that can be backed up you have the right to your own opinion upon that subject. Secondly, you don't have to be there "every second of every day" in order to know the basics of what is going on, or even to form an intelligent opinion based on facts and your own feelings/thoughts towards an event. official definition of "opinion" : So your statement "How can any of you claim to be so informed that you feel you have the right to be so opinionated on the Iraq situation?" means dick all. ___________________ Dont Be Surprised If This Thread psnStatus: Offline!
I dont agree in the war one bit. Im thinking Bush has gone a little too far this time. Although his not actually there he is a war criminal i feel. He didnt have conclusive evidence that Iraq had any weapons of mass destruction. For Australias cause in the war. Although roughly 50% support the war. Howard cannot say no to something you can tell he feels guilty about. When he announced Australia will be support Bush. You could tell he was feeling guilty and really didnt want to do it. Although im no American and im not gonna be heard by Howard or Bush to stop the war. This is what i have to say about Bush.. He was once an ok President not that i really care but anyway. I feel he has become a Dictator, and wanted to finish his fathers war which should have never happened ___________________ dont you think this war sets a bad principal - from now on can any country that THINKS another country may pose a threat in the future to it, it can launch a pre-emptive strike ... by this logic would a strike on the us by n.korea be right? because the us has mentioned a few times that it is part of its 'axis of evil' - and we can all see what its doing to the first country in that 'axis' ___________________ Infinite Fire - Photoshop, PHP, HTML, CSS and Webmaster Tutorials - Web Design Centre i havent read it all however, i do have this to bring up "All that is needed for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing." i dont know where its from either, but i heard it on seventh heaven and sbs is great. great. great. great. great. ___________________ ?.../..//_. I won't play your hide and seek game. ok. you have your opinion, and everyone here said that the war is to free iraq people. i agree with that. its really not all about the oil. U.S is looking for something MUCH bigger in IRAQ. muslims DO NOT buy US products in any way. no american movies, no Pepsi, no Coke. what bother US is not that Saddam kills the minority in Iraq. it bothers US that only a few (Saddam and close friends, and family) after Iraq is rebuilt U.S will choose someone, and make every move they can to "elect" this someone, who rules for Iraq people, and american industries. after industries are well stablished in Iraq, the expasion process will start, from Iraq to all muslims countries, that are near by. Iraq has 22million people. a few less after the war, but 22 million people buying and living the american way of life, in Iraq, will generate a great income to U.S directly or indirectly(sp?) its a expansion process like in Japan who US gave money after the war to preserve the american way of life in their side of the world, and stand against Russia, and later URSS. ok. i dont have a problem with all that i think US plans to do. not at all. a few extra billions per year, will not change much the economical sceneray in US, US is rich, and it will be even more. after this has an issue of economical domain. neo imperialism, like Europe made with all african continent, in XIX century. the big conflict is to come. and it wil not be battled between US and a tiny poor country. it wil be battled between the greatest nations in the world. this is my point of view. it may not be right, it may be just an impression. my post is above is very complex. anyone who doesnt had any general history, and general geografy (sp?) lessons, will think that i might be lying, or making things up. but im not. talking about the past, is not made of OPINIONS, or BELIEFS, but is made of FACTS, so dont come saying that just because you didnt heard that in school is a lie. ___________________
