how to create images in php

i recently went to a website that told me to download php_gd.dll,
but ive lost the address and searched for the site and i was wondering how do i use it to create images in php and how do i install it?

download the PHP zip version

open php.ini, change the extension dir to /extensions, uncomment (remove the semi-conlon) the line that has php_gd2.dll.
