Hmmm, I don't know about the vector-ish cartoon in the header. It looks all jaggy and ragged, almost like RIP graphics (no, I'm not accusing you of ripping somebody, RIP graphics are an old graphics technology we used to use on bulletin board systems).

As for the typography, the use of Serif fonts is bugging me. It's really hard to read serif fonts on a computer screen. A full explanation will follow if you need a reason why. Try using san-serif fonts on large blocks of the text, i.e. the footer.

The shoutbox is also very hard to read. Consider brightening it up a bit perhaps.

Other than that, good work.

WIth the exception of the remarks about the vector graphic in the header, ignore the negative remarks everyone else has -- i think its fantastic. Jakob Nielson wouldn't rate it the most usable site in the world, but i love it. Well done.

The one thing i may change is the typeface in the navigation menu. in fact, the typefaces all over the site are a little out of whack, but i think if you sort them it will look awsome.
