looking for a perl script

hello, does anyone know where i could find a perl script for deleting files? how about one that displays the contents of a directory? (i am not looking for big fancy scripts that do either of these things and a whole lot more... thoses are easy enough to find, im just looking for basic, no extra frills scripts)

why do that with perl when its its possbile to do it with PHP:

unlink() will do the job.

thats one... next.. displaying info about a directory's inbventory:

readdir()
