Link open from main screen to iframe

Ok, i am wondering how to have a link from the main window to the iframe. I am not sure how to break this down any easier. ok I have a screen....no frames at all links on the side but a big iframe in the middle. i want to have the links open inside the iframe. how do i do that?

Name the iframe, then set the target of the links as that name.
