uploading to my site

Quick question. I always thought I knew how to upload to a web site thru ftp, and I know I do, but..... my host gives a publi_html directory and a www directory - which one should I be uploading my site files to?? I feel kind of dumb, but I want to make sure that I am uplaoding to the correct dir. The attributes are different, and I believe I'm uploading to the correct dir, but want to make sure. Any answers??

Dude, Upload to the www.

Anything in front of the www folder can be viewed by anyone. The Public means just that, no password required to view the files.

it depends on ur host/server set up.....but most likely its your public_html....when u click on the www folder it should direct u to the public_html......

I would ask your host really just to clarify it all, every host is different and set up in their own unique way. For example me: my index file is in /public. And I got /private and others too. Roll Eyes
