Exporting In Tiff , Please Help!!!

i have exported a page in Tiff from illustrator, however it comes out in photoshop - just too too big!

i would like it smaller in size to reduce file size aswell as keep the text clearer. If i scale afterwards in Photoshop then the text becomes blur, is there a way i can make every thing smaller in illustrator first so that when its exported it does actually make the file alot smaller!!

Did you check the image quality?

In Illustator, it changes the size of the image to mimic what it would look like at 300 dpi, or on printed paper.

The thing is, your monitor is only 72 dpi so in order to fit all of the pixel information output by Illustrator, it has to show it larger.

So, one inch printed looks like 3-4 inches on your screen.

Which quality you use just depends on the intnded end purpose of the file.
