Transparancy

Can anyone tell me how to change an objects transparancy in flash 4?

You can change a symbol's transparency in flash with the effect panel. You go to alpha and cycle through which transparency you want. If you are changing the transparency of a non-symbol than you should use the mixer panel with the color picker. There should be an alpha selector in there.
