M$ Windows XP-Pro

Never had any problems with it, runs smoooooooth...
But that's mainly due to a memory upgrade (128 on 98se, 512 on XP)
Xp just needs more memory, even with fisher-price mode disabled...

hearing you Yorick - my XP desktop has 512M DDR ram, runs super sweet.
Just switched my linux laptop from Mandrake 9 to Red Hat 8. Has saved me a bunch of software installation headaches.
Something that's not mentioned enough is the GUI people are using for their Linux distro. I'm using KDE and prefer it to Gnome - can't give you a good reason why, just more comfortable for a Windows guy I think.

I ditched Xp Home (Crashed, Froze, Blue Screen, everything.) for Mandrake Linux 9.1. In my opinion, it is a hell a lot more stable than any of the Microsoft operating systems. And, you do not have to fight your computer for the amount of ram it's using. That's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

I have 98se on my personal machine because thats what it came with and im too poor to upgrade, but I use 2000 Pro and XP Pro on the machines at school. I agree with the guy who says that 2000 is "king of Kings". 98se sucks and XP is just a notch under 2000.

I use W2K - best windows OS in my opinion - XP looks a bit better but its too damn helpful with those annoying 'Get a .NET passport NOW!!!' reminders and all. Also XP uses more RAM than like 2K
