Linux RedHat 8.0 is very fine (5 CD's), or Mandrake 8.2 (3 CD's).
Both are for newbies.
There is no problem at booting. You select which OS you want to start, Windows or Linux.
Your HDD has enough space... for Linux you need 4 GB... there will be 2 or 3 partitions, NTFS Ext2 and Swap.

Linux is much better but it's hard to get used to it, and it's much more complex. Few people accomodate to it, and this are programmers, server admins or hackers...

hey is linux any good? like whats good about it other than its almost free, or free i forgot. i never really got interested in getting a diffrent os other than now

i just got mandrake linux 9.0 is sweet i like it so much faster the microsoft,
i just need to get adjusted to it, so far so good, other then loosing everything i had i feel pretty good .
