So stable, secure and stylish! (im being sarcastic) Mac OS X on my G5 and iBook I want to get a Apple Mac OS X, but I have Windows XP. Hey, I'm only ten, I need to save up some money..or start begging, lol. i use Windows XP Pro.. *rolls eyes* i do have another box sitting on a chair next to the other computers in here that has Unix, the others with, YEP windows!, i might get a mac cause its a MAC! (i couldnt help saying it like that, just like the guy in a flash movie when the mac crashes, hella funny, search Newgrounds.com for Computer Problems 2) ___________________
Macs, to me, function and look nicer than XP. But hey, thats just my opinion. I have my desktop and my laptop sitting right next to each other, and I use both on a regular basis. My desktop is running Windows XP Home sp2, and I use it to play games, and to access a remote fileserver for one of my Webmastering jobs, and thats about it. This computer also has Ubuntu installed on a seperate partition, but I hardly ever use it, as I cant figure out how to get ndiswrapper to work without lagging my system like crazy. My laptop is a Powerbook G4 running Apple OsX 10.3, I use it for pretty much everything else; IRC, aim, msn, browsing the intenet, design and coding, etc. I also occasionally take the laptop to school to take notes and such. ___________________ win2000 pro and ubuntu linux, best of both worlds! Just find a fairly simple distro to install like suse or mandrake (now madriva). Mandrake was my first distro that I used years ago around the 7.0 release and I had no trouble really getting it to work. Right now I'm on Win XP pro with gentoo on another hard drive. I'm thinking about maybe installing FreeBSD, Ubuntu, or Debian over the current Gentoo installation. ___________________
