Before Entering or Creating A Contest Please Read

Due to the many scams and fake contests TF has been having lately, it is time to inforce some new rules. In order to stop, or at least lower the possibility or scams in this forum, the authors/hosts of the contests must post the following information. (All points with * are a must)

- Full Name *
- Email *
- Mailing address * (unless contest involves no prize)
- Website Url (if applicable)
- Any IM Information

If the information above is not posted when a new contest is started, the mods will private msg the author of the contest telling him/her we need this information as well as to follow guidelines. If the author does not respond or fix his post, the contest will be put on hold as a locked thread until further notice. For authors who make contests which we decide to be frauds, there will also be a list stating their names and possibly IP's. These new rules are strictly for making sure the TF members get their prize when the contest is over. We are sorry if this causes any trouble, but it is for the best.

As for contestants of the contest, it is your responsibility to make it at least harder for your images to be ripped. We know it makes an image look ugly when there is a watermark all over it, but its the only way to stop from theft. It is your chance you are taking by entering the contest, and if your work is stolen the fault is yours. We are sorry to put it this way, but you can in no way blame it on TF or any members on TF. Please also know that if the contest is a fraud we can and will ban the author, and if someone wishes to take action we can give out their IP address and contact information. (note that major acts of fraud with the contests are liable to be reported to legal authorities)

For questions on this, please private msg any mod or admin and they can talk about the problem/suggestion you might have.

If you post a fraud contest, two punishments will be given to you. One, you will be banned from Tutorial Forums. Two, your IP number and contact information will be sent to local authorities to be delt with as Internet Fraud.

Recently there have been several occasions where members have posted comments in contest threads that are totally off topic and sometimes inflammatory.

Please do not.

Contests are open to all members, but the TF team will not allow these threads to be places for insults/flaming. As always, there is a pm feature for you to contact/pass comment to another member. Choose this route, as opposed to posting an off-topic comment in the actual contest thread.

Be aware that any such off topic comments will be removed.
