CS3 Import Video File To Layers Problems

I have been encountering video importing problems with my Adobe Photoshop CS3, which has all the capacity to do this operation quite fine and get 500 frames out of any selected video file that is supported. For some reason ( yes the file is supported ) when I try to do "File>Import>Video Frames To Layers" the preview screen and the final product is just a single blank image ( it resizes to the video file resolution ) it works with .gifs but that is not what I'm trying to accomplish. As you can see in the pictures.

I have attempted to reinstall CS3 but it is to no avail, also Imageready is integrated into CS3 so I do not think that is the problem ( as of yet ). I would greatly appreciate the community's help in this matter. And if there is already a thread similar to this I am sorry.
