Hi last week my 550w psu blew up, i got a new artic 500w psu, yet it wouldnt fit in my case, so i now have bought a new collermaster case which is kind of a smaller midi tower for some reason....., anyways i switched everything over and im getting "No signal" have checked all wires the pc boots up yet i dont hear any beeping or anything..., the only thing i can think of is that either my mobo has gone or my gfx has gone due to the psu blowing?, anyone got any ideas i can check?

If your PSU literally "blew up" (as in shorted out, maybe caused sparks or smoke or fire, etc) then it's definitely likely that damage occurred to your other hardware as well (particularly the motherboard, and possibly any of the other parts). Unless you have the right testing equipment, the only suggestion I can give is to try yet another PSU with the hardware, and try also swapping out any parts you can (if you have any spare parts).
Good luck.

Somtimes our main supply can have surges which can cause things to just blow. Maybe invest in a refusable surge protector. It's generally recommended to have one. They typically also have a supposedly lifetime gureentee so anything blows whilest connected to it they may pay you. I must say I haven't personally made a claim.
With my experience they only cover products that are made by factory not self built. once tried registring my pc it asked for a make. Didn't have a self built option.
