Creating Website

Hi Guys, I have been away for years from this website... I remember the days of tutorialforums.com / the startup of the TF IRC channel. Anyways, I come back looking for some assistance with starting up a photography website of my own, as well as a media publication club website for school. I remember sites like Spoono.com back then, and I was just wondering it there are sites that are more popular, and updated often now adays for newer web trends are out. Any links would help. Thanks alot!

Reload - The New Beginning

Following some conversation from Water Cooler, a lot of the web trends now are less tutorial oriented. Have a look at Web Creme or Zen Garden; a lot of design these days is based on simple elements: patterns, subtle gradients, different strokes (hah i meant like outlines, not the tv show), etc. Bright colors are in. Paradoxically, natural colors are also fairly popular recently. Things cartoony, bubbly and imaginative are in. Typography is big; text as a design element is popular. Iconography is probably having the best run of it's life.
