Not video or anything, just art. ___________________ :: pop :: I got the 17" Macbook Pro with the hi-res/anti-glare screen and I couldn't be happier. The smaller Macbooks are just kind of annoyingly small. Same here - though mine was pre-HD-res (though the res is already the highest I've ever used). Definitely anti-glare matte screen - I can't really stand the glossy screens on any computer (all the reflections give me a headache, and though they have more "punchy" color saturation which consumers like - it's not as accurate to the true colors, which is bad for design... e.g. I'd be shocked to ever see glossy versions of the Cinema displays come out, though I guess you never know - I didn't see the glossy-screens-only on the new iMacs coming). I haven't tried the higher res 17", but my brother has a 15" with the LED backlight, and I think it's clearly better than my screen with the standard backlight... mine can take a few minutes to fully warm up after coming back from sleep, and also has some minor variations in the evenness of the backlight. Might just be mine - haven't seen any others to compare with besides in the Apple store. Lastly, if it's your primary screen, you can never have enough work area haha.... the standard MacBook's screen is much too small for serious design in my opinion (you'd definitely need a second screen). I went with the 17" as my primary screen, but if I were to do it again, I think I'd go with 15" plus a cinema display. ___________________ -- Dave
