I read that the iphone was unlocked, any word on what carriers it will work with now that its unlocked, the only one i really read about was tmobile.

You probably read the same article as me, but as far as I know it's all carriers. The author of the article I read was just mostly interested in TMobile.

Thats what I read too, but a while ago I also remembered hearing something about how the iphone is only gsm compatible or something, and how it wont work on other networks.

Yea, it will only work on GSM networks. In the U.S. that means you have a choice between only AT&T and T-Mobile.

It actually doesn't look too bad, but it isn't something I'd be interested in. I have the worst provider ever invented, Sprint.
