HE TOLD YOU SO!!!! OH SNAP!!!!! ___________________ I dunno man, so you're proud of having jumped ship on NS back then? Thanks nano, that's very encouraging. A lot of "life" stuff has been hitting me pretty hard this year (for instance my best friend's dad died and he was in a pretty low place and had no one left - I needed to be there for him pretty much 24/7 for a long time to help him through and get back on his feet in one piece... so that and a number of other things that have been pretty serious have happened, including some health issues)... but I am still chipping away at the new site - getting closer slowly but surely. I'm also using some work opportunities that I got to use Drupal for to get a lot better with the system (and I'm kinda designing features for them with the intent of recycling them for us in the future). I've grown a lot in the past number of months and am happy with the new ways I've been thinking about life and the future things I want to do (including finish this site haha). Anyhow, again thanks for the encouragement bro. ___________________ -- Dave
I don't think NS will become anything until it generates some money and the development isn't simply charity work. The Studio is a crappy DA rip-off that took Jeremie months to create. Not because he isn't a competent developer, but because he didn't really care or have time to work on NS for free.
Yup. I put plenty of time and heartache into TF/NS and all I ever got was flak from the elitists who were "running" the show. I'm not glad NS failed, would have loved to seen it grow into something awesome, but I can't say I'm surprised. ___________________
To even try to call Neverside's studio a rip-off of Deviant Art, even in the context that it's garbage, is almost an insult to the developers at Deviant. I'm not an active DA user myself (though I do have an account there), it's just not my type of community; but even so I consider the NSStudio-DA comparison quite bleak... Seriously, I'm anxious to see what Dave has in the works for Neverside, because in its current state it's poop. Good luck with the project, Dave, I hope it turns out like you want it to.
