windows HOSTS question
Hi all,
i would like to know how to map an IP address to another IP address with windows HOSTS file.
so, instead of :
127.0.0.1 http://www.domain.com
i would like to be :
127.0.0.1 202.191.40.15
so when user access 202.191.40.15 it will redirect them to 127.0.0.1
i've search on google and found either no result or not possible reply.
is there any add on / workaround for this ?
thanks

Well the hosts file is for looking up ip addresses of computers you have the name for. If you have the IP address you dont need to look it up in hosts
You may be able to do redirection like this with your firewall/router though.
